Payables

Create, review and void the amounts you owe to your payees.

A payable is an amount you owe to a payee (for example a market, producer or vendor). Payables move through review and approval and are then paid out on your payout schedule (see Payouts). The Payables API lets you create, list and void payables from your own systems; approvals are made by your team in the dashboard. For how payables fit with internal transfers, see Moving Money.

The exact routes, parameters and schemas are in the API reference.

Finding payables

List payables and narrow them by plan, status (you can pass several), payee type, payee, or creation date range. Results are paginated, with up to 1,000 per page. Voided payables are hidden from the default list; ask for the voided status to see them.

Voiding a payable

Void a payable that was created in error, such as a duplicate, by sending a reason. You can void any payable that has not started processing.

The payable's status becomes voided, and its newest note of type void holds the reason, who voided it (created_by) and when (created_at). Voiding does not move money: the amount stays in the account it was already held in.

Voiding an already voided payable changes nothing. Voiding a payable that is processing or paid fails with HTTP 409 and the error code PAYABLE_NOT_VOIDABLE. See Errors.
